It's World Hello Day!!

November 21, 2008 is the 36th annual World Hello Day. Anyone can participate in World Hello Day simply by greeting ten people. This demonstrates the importance of personal communication for preserving peace.

World Hello Day was begun in response to the conflict between Egypt and Israel in the Fall of 1973. Since then, World Hello Day has been observed by people in 180 countries.

People around the world use the occasion of World Hello Day as an opportunity to express their concern for world peace. Beginning with a simple greeting on World Hello Day, their activities send a message to leaders, encouraging them to use communication rather than force to settle conflicts.

Bumped into Daniel yesterday at the interchange. How many of you will stop and say hello or just exchange a few words when you see your ex-classmate.. Hoho~

Random; Sometimes it feels really good and nice to see "old" people! In this case, old refers to people you haven't seen for quite sometime. Be it primary, secondary or whatever. =)

Hello & Goodbye!

Happening life

Circulating around friends, celebrations, endlessPROJECTS -______- ~~kill me~~ i see deadlines and work piling as high as yaoming. 4th week of school. shuckkkkkks. Laziness is killing me. I am counting down to holidays already. =/

MOST IMPORTANTLY! GOOD LUCK & all the best to all my friends taking A levels esp my buddies (you know who you are) & choir khakis! Ace it! :D Partyyyy hard after 20th!

ZOMGGGGG (so -PRIS ish) 11.23 already, needa get some work done!

teachers are like muffin coz they squeeze dry our brain juice for almost 1/3 of our life!

A couple gave birth and the wife was finally discharged from the hospital. Because both parents were busy, they got the grandmother of the child to go to this official place to name the baby.

The ah-ma was directed into a room where she would meet one of the staff who will name the baby officially. As she sat down, she fed the baby with a bottle of milk (guni).

Soon after, the staff came in and asked for the family surname.

"Lim," said the ah-ma.

By this time a bit of milk was dribbling from the baby's chin, so the ah-ma was busy wiping - she didn't here the staff's question until he repeated it quite loudly.

"Oi, Lim si mi?" (Hokkien for 'Lim what?')

"Lim si mi, lim guni la!" (Drinking Milk)

So... The little boy was named Lim Gu Ni. :D
